The new Valentines' character is super cute and has a funny backstory so I thought I'd share.

Profile: Descendant of "Saint Valentine". She is filled with indignation that Valentines' day has become a holiday for handing out chocolate so she tries preaching to the general public about the true meaning of Valentines' but fails. This has lead her to believe that destruction of all sweets is the only way to make people understand.

Special Ability: <Continuous attack/Song> Restores a small amount of HP to all party members periodically. Afterwards, she increases the defense and movement speed of other party members (excluding her)

2. Quests are held in the town and island

[Dawning]

Today is Saint Valentines' day. The amazing smell of chocolate permeates through the Vice Capital. All of a sudden, Monami begins to snatch chocolate off the people around her shouting "Giving chocolate today is a dishonest expression of love!"

[Island of Beginnings]

The story begins in the Daybreak Ocean. Through the tale "A sweet treasure?", watch how the clerics complicate the pirates' intentions.

(It's a really cute story so I might translate this one day ^^)

※ During the event, the quests at Dawning and the Island of Beginnings will be available for a period of time

※ Quests are separated by difficulty and there are two types (Completion types and Repeatable quests)

3. Find SSR Monami through exploration!

4. Exchange fortune rings for copies of SSR Monami

During the event, you will be able to exchange 150 rings for 1 copy of SSR Monami. You can do this an unlimited number of times.

Backstory

During the Second European War which engulfed all of Europe, the volunteer army of the Gallian Principality, Squad 7 (at war with the Imperial army) were surrounded by a blue light.

When they opened their eyes, they found themselves in Yggdra, a land overrun by the Black Army.

The commander of "Nameless" (Gallian penal military troop), Kurt Irving, and squad members, Riela Marcellis and Imca... and their enemy, the Valkyria from the Imperial Army, Selvaria Bles.

Unaware of each others' presence, the three forces work independently to find a way back to their world.

(I know nothing about Valkyria Chronicles so let me know if anything is interpreted wrong ^^" )

• During the event, the quest 「ユグドの遠征記」will be available at Dawning for a period of time.

* Her back story states that she is famous for stealing possessions that people go through a lot of trouble to get (hope that helps with the context)

** I've taken the liberty to simplify these translations for flow/clarity but I will fix this for nuance.

Special Ability (2 mana): She appears in front of the enemy furthest away and deals moderate damage (7x) to all those within range before returning to her original position.

Passive (1):  Her critical rate and critical attack increases (1.5x → 1.85x). Although her firing rate increases, she will fire one shot at a time. Also, when she takes down an enemy from afar, her bullet will pierce through. This skill is exclusive to Drossel.

Passive (2): Increased gold gained during quests (40%). If her critical hit takes down an enemy, there is a chance of gaining 1 mana. Additionally, every time she fires her special skill, her critical rate and movement increase for a period of time.This skill is exclusive to Drossel. 

Kizuna ability: Increased gold gained during battle. Also increases the critical attack.
